During the trek, a stray dog the locals called \"Lubanzi\" attached himself to the group and stayed with them for six days and about 100 miles, vanishing again on their final night. That chance companionship stuck with the founders, and in 2016 they moved to South Africa to build a wine brand around the spirit of that journey, spending months there sourcing grapes and finding winemaking and design partners who shared their vision of a youthful, socially conscious company built on collaboration and exploration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eBeyond the wine itself, the founders wanted the business to create real impact in the country that had shaped their experience, so they partnered with The Pebbles Project, a nonprofit that channels health and education support to families living and working on South Africa's wine farms.
