La Massa is a gem located in the heart of Chianti Classico, with a philosophy centered around studying the terroir to enhance production efficiency from the vineyard to the winery. The estate spans 27 hectares of south-facing vineyard in the beautiful Conca d’Oro of Panzano in Chianti (Fi). Historical documents reveal a rich history of wine and oil production dating back to the 15th century. By the late 1700s, known then as Podere di Massa, it came under the ownership of the curia of Fiesole and later the “Spedale di Bonifazio della città di Firenze”. In 1992, Giampaolo Motta acquired the property and embarked on an extensive restoration of the vineyards and wineries, pursuing his dream of transforming it into an unparalleled paradise.

There is no better person to be our guest speaker for this event than Giampaolo Motta. As the owner and winemaker, he possesses an intimate knowledge of every aspect of the wine, from the vines and terroir to the winemaking and aging processes. You'll have the opportunity to taste six of his exceptional wines while enjoying light shared appetizers.
