The area is also a UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated for its stunning châteaux, rolling vineyards, and historical significance in French viticulture. Its winemaking history dates back to the Roman era, and the region gained prominence during the Middle Ages when Loire Valley wines were favored by the French monarchy and European nobility.
