About our

Birkdale Village Location

Foxcroft Food & Wine expanded to Huntersville’s Birkdale Village in 2024, bringing our mission of making wine approachable to the Lake Norman community. Conveniently located near downtown Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson, we’re a top dinner destination after a day on the lake.

We pair seasonal menus with more than 40 wines by the glass, flights, and have over 500 bottles that you can enjoy here or take home. Our knowledgeable team is ready to guide you to a familiar favorite or something new. Thanks to Birkdale’s social district guests can enjoy wine and other beverages to-go while exploring the village.

Join us on our covered patio for seasonal Frosé, refreshing Spritz, or a chilled beer from our rotating beverage list. In the kitchen, our chefs prepare house-made pastas, artisanal flatbreads, and charcoal-fired steak and seafood entrees in our rare Josper oven– and don’t forget about our signature donuts for dessert! Discover one of Lake Norman’s best wine and dining experiences by making a reservation or attending one of our monthly events.

Phil Barnes

Executive Chef

Phil, a native of Ontario, Canada, embarked on his culinary journey at a young age, inspired by his mother's love for baking and cooking classic Julia Child recipes. Upon moving to Charlotte at the age of 14, he immersed himself in the hospitality industry, starting as a dishwasher and gradually ascending the ranks in esteemed establishments like the Lamplighter and Nobles. With 15 years of dedicated service to the Nobles restaurant group, Phil cultivated a deep-seated passion for food, impeccable service, and enhancing the guest experience. Now, as he joins the Foxcroft team, he eagerly anticipates spearheading the new Birkdale location. Beyond the kitchen, Phil finds solace in literature, nurturing his garden, enjoying outdoor adventures with his faithful furry companion Clive, enjoying a good book with a cup of coffee and cherishing moments with his loved ones.

Kyle Ross

Sous Chef

Chef Kyle’s passion for food and hospitality started in the
Mississippi Delta, where many of his earliest memories revolve around food and family. His first job as a dishwasher led to prep work and line cooking at several of the region’s most notable restaurants. Kyle later enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu in Portland, Oregon, and moved to the Pacific Northwest. Since graduating, he has worked in and led multiple award-winning kitchens across the South, including Babalu, Bardo, Supperland, and the Omni Hotel in Charlotte. A fan of coffee and craft beer, Kyle spends his time outside of work exploring culinary pursuits and the outdoors with his wife, Allison, and their newborn daughter, Kacey.
