2025 Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy Sancerre

One of the great classic Sancerre bottlings from the impeccable importer Kermit Lynch, Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy exemplifies old-school subtle class and finesse. We beg for more of this wine every year, and sadly never receive enough to satisfy demand. This is a classic Sancerre in every way, staunchly resisting the trend toward more tropicality and lower acid.  

"Pale luminous gold. The nose has a bright and assertive Sauvignon character, but nothing over-the-top or excessive: this is NOT New Zealand. There's an immediate freshness that's promising a wine with verve and zest. On the palate, the wine is pithy, dry, and citrus-inflected, with pert acidity framing all the flavors and refreshing each sip. Wet stone minerality and herbs de Provence join in to complete a lovely, complete package. Simply put, this is a delicious traditional Sancerre that's so wonderfully easy to enjoy. Bravo."
