Not the vintage of the harvested grapes (still early for that) but it seems that everywhere you look, stores are selling out of this deliciously lively and upbeat Loire Sauvignon. Maybe it's freshness we're all craving- something zesty and full of life, something not afraid to dance and shake it up. Maybe it's the outstanding quality for the price. Maybe it's Taylor Swift...
To the eye, a pale straw-yellow, star bright, with hints of green: this wine is in the prime of life and shows it.
On the nose, a wholly ripe and abundant panoply of fruit: golden delicious apple, nectarine and apricot. A wisp of mint confirms that 2025 was a ripe vintage, offering generous fruit aromas, flavors, and character.
The palate is expansive and rich, with moderate acidity framing all. More of the same fruit from the nose, but with a pleasant and soft approachability that's rare with Loire Sauvignon Blanc.
In short, this is a modern, 21st -century Sancerre showing the reality of a moderate climate now warmer than ever. You won't find the old-school bell pepper, gooseberry, or terse tartness of the 1980's and of old; you will find a deliciously fruit-driven Sancerre to celebrate being alive in 2026."
