SC- Domaine Bohn Crémant d'Alsace Brut Nature

Assuming control of the family vineyard at the tender age of 18, Bernard Bohn embarked on a journey to craft wines of unparalleled distinction. Situated on the sole outcrop of schist terroir in Alsace, Bohn's winery stands as a testament to unique viticulture. The Bohn lineage boasts a legacy of over three centuries as winegrowers in Reichsfeld, a quaint village nestled at the valley's far end, where the echoes of the Alsatian dialect lingered longer than the French language. Presently, Bernard and his son Arthur meticulously tend to a little over 9 hectares, embracing methods that extend beyond conventional organic farming. Their innovative approach includes forsaking traditional vineyard plowing and fostering the coexistence of cover crops. These unconventional techniques harmonize the vines, creating a balance that reflects their commitment to excellence.

These grapes are grown on sandstone-volcanic and schist soil. 35 year old vines. Fermentation on indigenous yeasts. No added sulphites.  Minimum of 3 years (sur-lie) before disgorgement. Brut Nature no dosage.
