Domaine les Pins has been family-run for five generations. This small artisanal producer meticulously manages every stage of production. They cultivate roughly 30 hectares of Cabernet Franc across the Bourgueil and Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil appellations, practicing sustainable farming with each vine receiving individual attention throughout the year. The 25-year-old vines are planted in sandy, clay, and gravel soils. After harvest, the grapes are de-stemmed, sorted, and placed into tanks for spontaneous fermentation. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in concrete tanks for at least 10 months before bottling.
Tasting Note:
This Cabernet Franc is a rich ruby red with a nose of violets and red berry fruits. On the palate, it offers layers of brightness with a touch of smoke and purple fruits. The entry is fine and silky, evolving to reveal complex notes of roasted herbs and a hint of espresso. Finishing with juicy black fruits and round tannins, this Cabernet Franc is a true delight.
