Documented since 1349, the VallDolina estate has a rich history in Penedès, Spain. Winemaking activities commenced in the current farmhouse of Masia Can Tutusaus in 1729, marked by the winery where red wines continue to ferment, having undergone various modifications over time. From the 18th century until the Badell’s family arrival in 1986, the farm lay dormant in a tranquility.

The current winemaker, Raimon Badell is graced by the confluence of geography, skill, and the essence of artistry. Steeped in the wine industry from a young age, Raimon champions the creation of contemporary wines that honor Mediterranean culture without being enslaved by the past. His reverence extends to Mother Nature, the vines, and the soil. Raimon articulates, "I am spiritually connected with my plants; my soul resides in each wine I make. It's about crafting wines that embody intimacy."

The name VallDolina [vai-doh-LEE-nah] is a description of the landscape. Dolines are depressions formed in areas that rich in limestone soils (karst), while 'vall' is Catalan for valley. Thus, Valldolina = valley of dolines.

This dry sparkling wine presents enchanting aromas of white fruit, complemented by delicate toasted notes, subtle pastry undertones, and a touch of bitter almonds. Upon tasting, the palate is treated to a refreshing, lively experience that persists gracefully. The optimal integration of carbonation contributes to the overall appeal, while the finish lingers with a persistence adorned by mineral touches. This Cava showcases a harmonious balance and a delightful complexity that elevates the tasting experience.
