For decades, Domaine de la Pousse d’Or has been a top choice for collectors seeking expressive and memorable wines from Burgundy’s most revered terroirs, solidifying its place among the region’s elite. Its rich history in Volnay dates back to 1855, when the estate was part of a larger domaine that included Romanée-Conti and Clos de Tart. In 1997, Patrick Landanger purchased the winery, expanding its influence.

Landanger further strengthened the Domaine's prestige in the mid-2000s by acquiring an impressive array of Côte de Nuits vineyards from Domaine Moine-Hudelot. Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate follows biodynamic principles, avoiding pesticides and herbicides, and regularly plowing the vineyards to maintain healthy, natural growth.

"Cool, airy and beautifully layered aromas include those of petrol, an array of floral elements and a mix of white fleshed fruit, citrus and spice. There is excellent richness to the rich and sappy medium-bodied flavors that exude even minerality on the bitter lemon-inflected and impressively long finish. This compact and built-to-age effort is both stylish and classy and while it does need to develop better depth, that is all but assured if the wine is given a chance. *Outstanding*"
-91-94 points, Allen Meadows, Burghound (Apr 2024)
