Established in 1776 in Reims, France, Champagne Louis Roederer stands out as one of the few family-owned enterprises still overseen by the Roederer family. Louis Roederer, who assumed leadership in 1833 after inheriting the business from his uncle, rebranded it with his own name. His tenure marked a period of rapid expansion while maintaining an unwavering commitment to exceptional quality. Presently, Jean-Claude Rouzaud and his son Frédéric steer the company, upholding its tradition of prioritizing quality over quantity.

Renowned for its premier vineyards, Champagne Louis Roederer distinguishes itself as one of the primary proprietors, owning nearly 75 percent of the grapes from the most coveted vineyards in Champagne. Spanning 450 acres across the finest locales of Montagne de Reims, Côtes des Blancs, and Valleé de la Marne, each site is meticulously chosen to cultivate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes that epitomize the elegance necessary for impeccably balanced champagne. Consistently earning an average rating of 98 percent on France’s 100-point classification scale, the Louis Roederer vineyards exemplify excellence in winemaking.

“Dried-lemon, apricot, green-apple, salted-almond, walnut and light caramel notes. Vinous and layered, with small and tight bubbles. Excellent focus and intensity. Based on 2018, with reserve wines going back to 2009. Dosage 8g/L. Drink now.”
-James Suckling, 94 Points

"The NV Champagne Collection 243 Brut is the third release and is based on the 2018 vintage, with the addition of 30% of the perpetual reserve started in 2012 and 10% reserve wine that has been aged in oak. It is ripe and balanced, with yellow flowers, honeycomb, and plum, and it has elegant concentration and underlying tension, precise mousse, and rich salinity, with lingering notes of croissant and delicate smoke."
-Jeb Dunnuck, 93 Points
