- Napa Valley
Originally built in 1886, the Trefethen winery was restored by John and Janet Trefethen in 1973. Now a national historic landmark, it remains the only wooden gravity-flow winery in Napa Valley. Trefethen is also one of the region's largest estate wineries, with 600 acres of vineyards surrounding the property.
Trefethen’s Riesling is a standout expression of this classic varietal, reflecting the winery’s commitment to crafting vibrant, terroir-driven wines. Grown on the Trefethen estate in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, their Riesling benefits from the cooler climate and well-drained soils, which help preserve the grape’s natural acidity and aromatic complexity.
Tasting Note:
"Refreshing aromas of lime zest and apple are layered with floral hints of jasmine and orange blossom. Bright on the palate, flavors of guava and peach are lively with notes of Granny Smith apple and citrus."
