SC- 2022 Podere Grattamacco Bolgheri Rosso

Founded in 1977, the Grattamacco winery is located between the towns of Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri. Since 2002, Claudio Tipa, a Sicilian native and former industrialist, has managed the estate, which is now regarded as one of the most meticulously run and well-respected in Italian viticulture. Under Tipa's leadership, the wines have gained greater refinement and stylistic precision, according to experts. Prior to his tenure, the previous owner had spent over 20 years pioneering the development of Bolgheri, helping to establish the region’s reputation for producing exceptional red wines.

Tasting Note:
This wine shows a deep crimson hue and offers a beautifully balanced profile. The palate is layered with rich flavors of blueberry, black currant, and pomegranate, complemented by subtle oak spice, graphite, rosemary, and sage. Delicate hints of tobacco and coffee bean add depth. Medium-bodied and refined, it embodies sophistication and elegance, reaching a new level of quality with a long and persistent finish.

Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, 10% Sangiovese
