SC- Josef Leitz Non-Alcoholic "Eins Zwei Zero" Riesling

For over 70 years, Germans have been refining the production of non-alcoholic wines, leading to significant quality improvements. Recent advancements in vacuum distillation, particularly a new patented closed system developed by a producer in Rheinhessen, allow the alcohol in wine to boil at just 28°C. This process better preserves the wine's natural aromas and characteristics. Just as fat carries flavor in food, alcohol serves a similar role in wine. In its absence, residual sugar takes on this responsibility, though it is nearly balanced out by the wine's acidity.

Tasting Note:
This Riesling captures the essence of a classic with aromas of lime, citrus, and a touch of mango, complemented by hints of nut and petrol. The palate is light and vibrant, offering a refreshing zing with flavors of red apples, tarragon, and lime zest, balanced by an underlying mineral base. The finish is slightly off-dry with a long finish.
