SC- Wittmann "100 Hills" Pinot Blanc

Pinot Blanc is a white wine grape variety known for its crisp, refreshing character and versatility. A mutation of the more famous Pinot Noir grape, it produces wines that are typically light to medium-bodied with delicate flavors of green apple, pear, citrus, and sometimes subtle floral or honeyed notes. The wine is often marked by a smooth texture and lively acidity, making it a delightful choice for a range of occasions.

This Pinot Blanc is made with approximately 40% estate-harvested fruit, primarily from vineyards less influenced by limestone compared to the estate's top sites. The remaining fruit comes from local growers who are all members of Naturland, a German certification organization for organic agriculture. The fruit is hand-harvested, naturally fermented, and aged in a blend of 50% stainless steel tanks and 50% large, neutral wooden casks.

Tasting Note:
The wine offers enticing aromas of roasted hazelnuts and ripe stone fruits. On the palate, it is fresh and creamy, with a subtle minerality that lingers, complemented by a refreshing, mouthwatering acidity.
