South Africa’s wine region is celebrated for its diverse terroirs, exceptional quality, and a winemaking heritage that dates back to the 17th century. Centered around Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl, the vineyards thrive in a Mediterranean climate with cooling ocean breezes and varied soils—perfect for growing premium grapes. The country is best known for its signature Pinotage (a cross of Pinot Noir and Cinsault), as well as outstanding Chenin Blanc, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. South African wines strike a balance between Old World finesse and New World vibrancy, gaining recognition worldwide.

We're pleased to welcome Mathilda Joubert, co-founder of SA-vor Wines, as our guest speaker for the evening. She and her husband launched their import business after discovering how rare quality South African wines were in the U.S. Today, their selections are a fixture at all Foxcroft locations, known for their authenticity and everyday appeal. Guests will enjoy a curated selection of South African wines alongside a five-course dinner crafted by our culinary team.
