Leeuwenkuil, or "Lion's Lair," has a history dating back to 1693 with the Dreyer family taking ownership in 1851. Current owners, Willie and Emma Dreyer, have transformed the farm into the largest vineyard in South Africa’s Cape Coastal area, now spanning 1250 hectares.
With a commitment to sustainable practices, Leeuwenkuil produces natural, unoaked wines that showcase the purity of Swartland’s terroir. Their dry Cinsault rosé is made from dry-farmed bush-vines. The grapes are whole bunch pressed and fermented with natural yeasts.
"Subtly enticing aromas of raspberry, peach and a hint of herbs follow through on a steely dry palate; crisp, bright, mouth-watering acidity, yet unctuous on the tongue, with lovely flavours of tart cherry, cranberry and a hint of salinity."
