Founded in 1998, Brooks is a testament to the vision of Portland native Jimi Brooks. His deep respect for the land and vines led him to practice organic and biodynamic farming. By honoring the uniqueness of each vineyard and mastering the art of blending, Jimi's wines achieved exceptional depth, flavor, and balance.
Cahiers (KY-YAY) is French for Notebooks or Journals in remembrance and honor of Jimi Brooks, who loved to read and write. Pascal found his father’s journals after he passed, and they allowed him to connect with his father through each journal entry.
"Welcome to the dark side of the pinot noir force! Deep and dangerous with enormous concentration, this full-bodied pinot noir has stacks of damson-plum and blackberry fruit, but is also extraordinarily fresh and decisively dry. Enormously long, velvety finish in which violet, smoke and stony minerality are seamlessly interwoven. Drinkable now, but best from 2025."
-James Suckling, 97 Points
"A full-bodied Pinot Noir with structured tannins and warm notes of black tea, Chinese five spice, luxardo cherry, raspberry compote, and a hint of blood orange oil on the lengthy finish."
